Willamette Valley Vineyards Tualatin Estate Pinot Noir, 2010

Planted in the foothills of the Oregon Coast range by Bill Fuller in 1973, Tualatin Estate has some of the oldest and best Pinot Noir vines in Oregon. The 2010 vintage was good, and this wine is showing beautifully night.

Medium light color. Incredibly complex aromas and flavors--pomegranates, red berries and orange peel. Intense acidity and subtle tannins to carry the fruit to a powerful finish. Drinking beautifully now, but I suspect it will get even better over the next several years.
